Join With Us! The Union of Sexual Minorities, August, 1976
Order an ImageThe Union of Sexual Minorities (USM) was founded in the 1970s to promote full economic, social, and political equality for all sexual minorities, including gay men and lesbians, transvestites, and transgender people. The USM described the oppression of sexual minorities as "an economic reality disguised as a moral issue." They expressed solidarity with other movements for equality, but emphasized their focus on oppression of sexual minorities.
This flier reproduces the USM Statement of Purpose, invites people who consider themselves part of a sexual minority to become members, and invites both members and non-members to USM's semi-monthly meetings.
