The newsletter shown here is the inaugural issue of the Gay Community Center News (later the Seattle Gay News), a publication of the Gay Community Center in Seattle, a social-service agency for sexual minorities. This issue discusses the recent opening of the Gay Community Center in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood, as well as preparations for Gay Pride Week, with events scheduled for June 28-June 30, 1974.
The Seattle Gay News continues to be published as of 2022.
