Lambert House, in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood, offers year-round programs, activities, resources, and services to LGBTQ youth. Founded in the early 1980s as the Association of Gay and Lesbian Youth Advocates (AGLYA), Lambert House, named after local queer youth advocate Gary Lambert, provides opportunities for LGBTQ youth to socialize with other youth and adults like themselves, including community dinners, social support groups, dances and performances, and provides advocacy and case management for the 10% of LGBTQ youth that have been rejected by their parents.

Among its annual events, Lambert House holds an alternative prom for LGBTQ youth, who may not have allowed or welcomed to bring same-sex dates to their high school proms. This 2001 poster for The Prom advertises this event for "Transgender, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Questioning high school age people and their dates." The Prom continues to be a Lambert House event as of 2019.
