In this image, retired Marine Colonel Guy Wickliffe (1925-2003), a National Defense Service Medal (NDSM) and United Nations Service Medal for Korea (UNKM) recipient, listens to his marching orders as Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 289 prepares to join the Memorial Day parade along Alaskan Way in Seattle. Ret. Col. Wickliffe served in the United States Marine Corps for 30 years.
