In this image American playwright August Wilson (1945-2005) discusses his upcoming talk on American history from an African-American perspective, "The Testimony of the Witness," at the Seattle Arts and Lectures series. Wilson had just recently moved to Seattle, where he developed a relationship with Seattle Repertory Theatre, the only theater in the country to produce his entire 10-play series, "The Pittsburgh Cycle," and his one-man show "How I Learned What I Learned."
