Tony Ventrella (1944-2024) started his broadcasting career in Seattle at KOMO-TV, then joined KING-TV as sports director in 1982. Over his 12-year tenure at KING, Ventrella became a fixture at every sports venue with every franchise in Seattle. Ventrella moved on to KIRO from 1994 to 2002 before becoming a digital media host with the Seattle Seahawks in 2008, where he remained through the 2015 season. He also worked with the Sounders, participated in various radio projects, was an author and motivational speaker, and hosted nonprofit events throughout his career.
