In this photo Haida drummers perform a song during a demonstration against the salmon farming industry in front of North American Pan Fish headquarters in Ballard. About 100 representatives of US and British Columbian fishing and conservation groups, along with Indigenous Alaskans and Northwest tribal peoples, participated in the protest. Opponents of salmon farms say they hurt sales of wild salmon and threaten their existence, and that the farms damage the environment.
