Apolo Ohno (b. 1982) is a retired short-track speed skating competitor. Ohno won eight Olympic medals, was inducted into the International Sports Hall of Fame in 2017 and the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame in 2019. Born and raised in Seattle, Ohno began swimming and quad-speed rolling skating at age 6, and committed to short-track speed skating at age 13. Apolo Ohno retired from competitive skating after the 2010 Olympics.
