Intra Technologies was founded in 1998, with headquarters in Tukwila, Washington. Intra specialized in developing DC power management products to enhance power generation, storage, and consumption within DC power systems. It developed the Intra Switch, which handled large amounts of current but generated only small amounts of heat. The switches also monitored the condition of components of the DC power system. Intra technology was used extensively in the automotive and trucking industries, as well as other fields. Intra Technologies was acquired by Midtronics, Inc. of Illinois in March 2003.
