Order an Image
Marc Weinblatt, co-artistic director of the Seattle Public Theater, developed a program for at-risk and homeless youth called the Theater of Liberation. The program, presented at youth homeless shelters and other locations, used improvisation, physical imagery, games, and other activities to explore the variety of social issues faced by its participants. In June 1997, Theater of Liberation performed at Seattle Public Theater.

Here, Lawrence Nelson, Brandon Wright, and Erica Nelson warm up for a rehearsal by reaching out to each other with their eyes closed.
