Order an ImageSoftware developer Ben Slivka worked at Microsoft from 1985 to 1999. Slivka worked on OS/2, MS-DOS 6.0 and 6.2, and Windows 95 before leading the programming team in charge of Microsoft's Internet Explorer 3.0, the third version of the web browser in a little over a year.
This photograph of Ben Slivka accompanied an article about the frantic pace of work on Internet Explorer 3 before its shipping date the following day. Slivka and his team worked around the clock to meet the deadline. About the fast pace of work on the project, Slivka said “Realistically, there are a lot of projects where you have to go into total crunch mode to meet a deadline. But we've been in perpetual crunch mode since January of last year.''
