Waitress at Wharf Restaurant, Seattle, May 31, 1987

Order an Image
The Wharf was a popular restaurant at Fisherman's Terminal in Seattle's Interbay neighborhood from the late 1950s until its closure in 1987 due to an expansion and modernization of the terminal by the Port of Seattle. The restaurant had been a favorite spot for seafood, as the terminal was home to the Pacific Northwest fishing fleet.

In this image, Nella Hyatt, a waitress at the Wharf, reflects sadly on the end of her 28 years at the restaurant on its last day of service before closing.
