Order an Image
Popular restaurant chain Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour, famous for their free birthday sundaes, was begun in 1963 in Portland, Oregon, and featured early-1900s-style decor, with employees wearing period dress and straw boater hats. By 1975, there were 120 Farrell's nationwide, however sales dropped and most were sold off in the 1980s. As of 2017 there are two remaining Farrell's, both in California.

In this image diners inside the Farrell's at Northgate Mall in Seattle enjoy the food and atmosphere.
