In 1938, the Metropolitan Laundry Company took delivery of ten new International D-2 panel trucks, shown here in front of the laundry. The company was located at 244 Pontius Avenue N., in Seattle's Cascade neighborhood. Numerous ads in The Seattle Times urged housewives to save time by sending their family clothing out to be washed or dry cleaned by Metropolitan.

As of 2018, the building is still there and has been converted to apartments.
