This image shows Hamilton Hall in Seattle's Georgetown neighborhood the day before it was torn down by owner E. E. McQueen because it would have cost too much to renovate. Built in 1903 at the corner of 12th Avenue South and South Vale Street, Hamilton Hall was one of the oldest buildings in the Georgetown area. During its history it housed a dance hall, jail, and an old-time market, but at the time the photo was taken, the building had been vacant for three years.
