This image shows employees working on the assembly line at the General Housing Corporation in Seattle's Georgetown neighborhood. The company manufactured "pre-built" (also called prefabricated or modular) homes. The four room, wooden frame houses were made in two 12-foot-wide sections which were delivered completely finished with all electric, heating, and plumbing equipment installed, then bolted together on site.
