Fisherman's Terminal, Seattle, February 21, 1952
Order an ImageOn May 17, 1952 the Port of Seattle's Fishermen's Terminal at Salmon Bay between the Interbay and Ballard neighborhoods was rededicated as the home of the Pacific Northwest fishing fleet after an expansion and modernization that allowed for moorage, drydock, repair, maintenance, and supply facilities for 1,000 vessels.
This image of fishing boats docked at Fishermen's Terminal was taken facing north east so that the Ballard Bridge is visible behind the boats and Phinney Ridge rises in the distance.
