In this image Tom Robbins, left, sits with attorney David Hood, while artist Joseph "Joe" Petta, Jr. (1936-1998), center, looks on. The men were quoted in the P-I as saying they are sympathetic to the use of LSD, a psychedelic drug known for its psychological effects. The recreational use by youth as part of 1960s counterculture movement resulted in the drug's prohibition, with possession made illegal in 1968.
