On April 17, 1972, about 500 people gathered in front of the Seattle-First (SeaFirst) National Bank Building at 1001 4th Avenue to protest the U.S. bombing of Hanoi and Haiphong the previous day. The protest, organized by several women's groups, demanded that the bombing stop and the U.S. support North Vietnam's Seven Point Peace Plan, presented at the Paris peace talks the previous year.

This photo shows protesters in front of the SeaFirst building. The group marched around the bank's plaza chanting "Stop the war, set a date" and handing out materials to passersby.
