Gaylord Perry (1938-2022) was a professional baseball player who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1962 to 1983. He played for eight different teams during his career, including for the Seattle Mariners from 1982 to 1983. Perry’s career was long and successful, with 314 wins. He threw a no-hitter in 1968 while playing for the San Francisco Giants, was the first pitcher to win the Cy Young Award in both the American and National Leagues, and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1991.
