The Main Attraction performing at the Northwest Music Awards Show, Seattle, March 22, 1992
Order an ImageThe Seattle a cappella quartet The Main Attraction was formed in 1981 when singer Tony Graves called Antowaine Richardson and Lee Conerly to start a singing group; Ronnie Rowland soon joined them. Using the name of Graves' previous, disbanded group, The Main Attraction started out signing on street corners and in local bars, but soon began singing on bigger stages, opening for names like Gladys Knight and Smokey Robinson, and singing the national anthem at Mariners, Seahawks, and Sonics games. The quartet won the best vocal group award at the Northwest Music Awards Show from 1989 through 1991, and released at least two albums, "By Request" and "Sweet Harmony." Richardson, Rowland, and two new members continued performing as The Main Attraction into the 2010s.
