In this image, Last Guns (James White Calf, Sr.), the oldest man in the Blackfeet Nation at 103, holds a traditional headdress. He traveled from Browing, Montana, to Seattle to present the headdress to President John F. Kennedy, who was in Seattle on November 16 to deliver a speech at the University of Washington's 100th anniversary program. Last Guns had reportedly met three US Presidents during his life: Harry S. Truman, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Woodrow Wilson.
