The Seattle Ironmen were a minor league professional ice hockey team in Seattle from 1943 to 1952, playing at the Civic Ice Arena. The team was founded during World War II as a company team for the Isaacson Steel plant and was called the Seattle Isaacson Iron Workers. In 1944, the team joined the semi-professional Pacific Coast Hockey League and changed its name to the Seattle Ironmen. In the 1950s the team went through more name changes – the Seattle Bombers (1952-54) and the Seattle Americans (1955-58) – before settling on the name Seattle Totems in 1958.
