In this image, two men hold a banner for the Freedom Day Committee '90 while they march during Seattle's annual Lesbian-Gay Pride Parade on Capitol Hill. An estimated 20,000 people participated in the event, which is part of Seattle's annual Gay Pride Week. The Pride Parade continues to be held annually on the last Sunday in June to honor the Stonewall riots, the 1969 event marking the start of the gay rights movement in the United States.
