Order an Image
The Seattle Seahawks joined the National Football League (NFL) in 1976. The team's first headquarters and practice facility were located at what is now Carillon Point, at the site of the old Lake Washington Shipyards in Kirkland. The Seahawks spent ten years headquartered there before moving to the campus of Northwest College in 1986, then their current facilities at Virginia Mason Athletic Center in Renton in 2008.

This photo shows an early Seahawks practice in 1976 at the Kirkland practice facility, with the ferry Kehloken docked at right.
