Family riding on Bicycle Sunday, Seattle, May 28, 1972

Order an Image
From April through September, Lake Washington Boulevard has often been closed to cars for Bicycle Sundays. The route ran from Mount Baker to Seward Park. The weather for the May 1972 event was sunny and warm, and many cyclists took part.

Here, a man pedals his bicycle along the boulevard, carrying one toddler in a framed backpack and another on a rear wheel seat.
