Order an ImageIn the 1970s, Seattle began to pay more attention to bicycle safety by increasing the number of signs and protected bike lanes. The intersection of East Green Lake Way N. and the two one-way branches of NE Ravenna Boulevard is a complicated one. Located near ballfields and playfields in Green Lake Park, as well as a beach, businesses, and settled neighborhoods, it was important to separate bicycles from motor traffic.
