Bush Cycle Club bicyclists returning to Seattle, September 1, 1976
Order an ImageIn this image Mark Boyar, a member of the Bush Cycle Club, gets a hug from Debbie LaZerte in Seattle after returning from a 14-month, 15,000-mile trip by the club, an attempt to be the first group in modern times to complete circumnavigation of the earth via bicycle. In addition to Mr. Boyar (now a noted conservationist), other members of the group from the Bush School included Matt Rice, Steve Ellis, group leader Bob Ellis, Helen Anderson, Francesca Martin, Debbie Hofee, and Rob Raine.
