Riders beginning Mercer Island bike race, July 23, 1966

This image was taken at the start of the seniors division of the fourth annual Mercer Island bicycle road race, held on July 23. The seniors' (age 18 and over) race route was 40 miles long, and the juniors (under 18 years old) rode a 10-mile route. The races started and finished at the Mercer Island shopping center at 78th Southeast and Southeast 32nd Streets.
