In this image AIDS hospice advocates demonstrate their support of a planned project for an AIDS hospice at East Madison Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Way. The event was staged by the direct action advocacy group ACT-UP (AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power) in front of the old SeaFirst building on Fourth Avenue, where Roger Leeds, the lawyer for the project's opponents, had his office.
