Needle exchange table, Seattle, October 24, 1990
Order an ImageThis table at Second Avenue and Pike Street in Seattle was part of a program to educate and help prevent the spread of AIDS. The program handed out clean needles as well as condoms, AIDS informational brochures and bleach to disinfect needles. In this image, a woman exchanges a needle while one volunteer records the exchange and another hands out a clean needle.
