The Gold Medal Milk Company (also known as Gold Medal Dairies, Inc. and Golden Rule Dairy and Bakery), a dairy distributer, was located first in Seattle's Fremont neighborhood at 269 Florentia Street, and later in Ballard at 5500 14th Avenue NW.
This image was likely taken at the Ballard location, and the man standing in the center of the group, wearing a black suit and white hat, has been identified as Charles Fitzgerald (1871-1940), a diary farmer from the Olympic Peninsula who was president of the company in 1940.
