Building Owners and Managers Conference delegates outside New Washington Hotel, Seattle, April 1920
Order an ImageIn this photo, delegates at the Second Pacific Northwest Conference of Building Owners and Managers pose outside of the New Washington Hotel, the meeting headquarters. The convention opened April 23, with delegates from San Francisco, Portland, Vancouver, B.C., Spokane, Tacoma, and Seattle attending. The delegates discussed the costs of operating commercial properties, zoning regulations, and the need for "alert, efficient elevator service." The eighty plus delegates ended the conference the morning of April 24, 1920 and traveled to Snoqualmie Falls for dinner and entertainment.
