In the summer of 1938, members of the Seattle Photo-Engravers Union and their families gathered at Lake Wilderness for their annual picnic, and posed for this informal panoramic group photo. The men, women, and children show a variety of ages and clothing styles.

Lake Wilderness, near Maple Valley, Washington, became a popular resort area in the 1920s.
