Order an ImageFrederick & Nelson department store in downtown Seattle was a popular stopping point for authors and celebrities on book tours. Chef and author Julia Child visited Frederick & Nelson twice, in November 1971 and March 1974, giving cooking demonstrations and autographing her book " Mastering the Art of French Cooking." This photograph shows Child signing a copy of her book at a Frederick & Nelson autograph party in the 1970s.
