Chuck Carroll played a variety of positions for the University of Washington (UW) Huskies -- halfback, linebacker, and running back -- and became one of the most respected players throughout the years. He served as captain in the 1928 season, was an All-American running back in 1927-28, and set a record for points in a game (36) in 1928 that still stands. He completed his law education at the UW, served as a King County prosecutor for 22 years, and was cited by many organizations for his community service. He died in 2003 at the age of 96. In this photograph from either the 1927 or 1928 season, Carroll is displaying his skill in Husky Stadium.
