In this image the Sternwheelers, members of the Seattle Indoor Sports Club, present their wheelchair square dance to an enthusiastic crowd during the American Legion's Cavalcade of Music and Drill at Memorial Stadium as part of the Legion's state convention. The Legion invited the Sternwheelers to perform after a performance scheduled at the Seafair Fiesta of Floats was canceled on the grounds that the performance would be "depressing" to spectators.
