Night view of games arcade at Fun Forest, Seattle Center, March 1971

Order an Image
Originally built for the 1962 World's Fair, the 74-acre Seattle Center is an arts, educational, tourism, and entertainment center in Seattle. A favorite spot at Seattle Center for many kids was the Fun Forest, an amusement park complete with roller coasters and carnival-style games. The Fun Forest closed in 2011 and since 2012 the site has been occupied by Chihuly Garden and Glass, a long-term exhibition.

In this image, Fun Forest attendees pass by the carnival games, lit up for the night.
