Order an ImageBegun as the Seattle Timberliners around 1947, the Seattle Tip Toppers' Club, a non-profit social organization for tall persons, has been part of Tall Clubs International (TCI) since 1954. Minimum height requirements for membership in the club are 5’10” for women and 6’2” for men.
In this image the newly crowned "Queen of Height," Maureen Sims, center, stands with her two princesses, Joanne Ellison, left, and Jane Marie Anderson, while five-year-old Michael Baxter and his brother Bobby, 7, sit next to them. The finals of the beauty contest were held during the annual Seattle Boat Show at Bryant's Marina on Lake Union.
