During World War II, thousands of G.I.s married local women from countries where they were stationed. When their tour ended, they brought these "war brides" home to a new life in America. The War Bride Act of 1950 allowed spouses and children of military personnel to enter the U.S. This photo shows a large group of American servicemen posing on a ship's deck for a photographer with their Japanese wives and children.
