This image shows Beacon Hill Playground at 1902 13th Ave S, adjacent to Beacon Hill Elementary School and near the northern end of Beacon Hill. The park was originally built around the beginning of the 20th century and was expanded in 1909 under the direction of the Olmsted Brothers. The southern half of the playground had previously been a waterworks and reservoir operated by the Spring Hill Water Company until 1907.
