Order an ImageEdo Vanni (1918-2007) was an original member of the Seattle Rainiers in 1938, and stayed with the club throughout its entire existence, ended as a manager in the Rainiers' final year in 1964. Born in Black Diamond and raised in Queen Anne to Italian immigrant parents, Vanni was a beloved member of the region's baseball community. This photo of Vanni was taken at Rainiers' batting practice in Los Angeles around 1938.
