Order an Image
The building housing the Moore Theatre and Moore Hotel opened on Second Avenue and Virginia Street in December 1907. The theater seated over 2,000 people, and it soon became one of Seattle's leading cultural centers.

This photo of the Moore Theatre interior was taken sometime after 1907. The photographer stood in the balcony to take a picture of the ceiling decoration, box seats, and stage. The objects in the foreground are spotlights and filters.
