Order an Image
The University Club at the corner of Madison Street and Boren Avenue had originally been built as a residence for Elizabeth Stacy. It became a residential and social club in 1902 and an addition to the building on the south side created rooms for dining, billiards, and reading. Its membership was restricted to men and at first limited to 200. A "ladies annex" was added in 1906.

Handwritten on sleeve: University Club 1905.
