Students in front of columns on University of Washington campus, Seattle, circa 1925
Order an ImageStylishly dressed golfers gather in front of the Ionic columns "Loyalty," "Industry," "Faith," and "Efficiency." Originally part of the first Territorial University building downtown, the 24-foot hand-fluted cedar columns were saved and brought to the new campus when the building was torn down. The columns were moved once again in 1921 to this final home in the tree-enclosed Sylvan Theater just south of the Electrical Engineering building.
