In the 1920s, the Kenworth Motor Truck Corporation added passenger buses to its line of heavy-duty trucks. This 1935 photo shows Seattle passengers boarding a Kenworth bus which belongs to the Washington Motor Coach System. The company's Cross-State Route carried passengers to Butte, Montana, and other western cities. Riders could also make connections with buses going to Chicago and New York.
