Edmond Meany Hotel, Seattle, November 20, 1931

Designed by architect Robert C. Reamer, the Edmond Meany Hotel became a center of University District activities from the time of its opening in 1932. Social and business functions took place in the hotel, and visiting scholars, faculty, athletes, and performing artists stayed there. The building is a notable example of the Art Deco style.
