Northwest Steel Rolling Mills was one of several steel companies in Seattle in the late 1920s. In their Ballard mill, they melted scrap metal and made it into steel bars and cylinders for use by other industries. This 1927 photo shows workmen in the factory moving a large bucket of molten metal.
