Camlin Apartments, Seattle, circa 1926
Order an ImageThe historic Camlin Hotel opened in 1926 as the Camlin Apartment Hotel, located at 1619 Ninth Avenue in downtown Seattle. Architect Carl Linde designed the building in the Italianate style for developers Edmund Campbell and Adolph Linden, who lost the hotel after their convictions for fraud. The hotel has been operated by many different owners over the years, and as of 2018, is a WorldMark property.
This image of a suite at the Camlin was probably taken around the time of the hotel's opening on October 31, 1926. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.
