Ruth Home for Girls, Seattle, circa 1926
Order an ImageThe Ruth School for Girls moved to this site at 3404 NE 68th Street in 1921. The buildings were originally constructed to house the Parental Home for Girls run by the Seattle School District. The district continued to supply a teacher to the Ruth School, a Protestant institution. The girls at Ruth were wards of the Juvenile Court. This site is currently adjacent to the Northeast Branch of the Seattle Public Library.
